One of my many wine-related paintings, Rose Window (sold!) was a half sheet watercolor (15″ x 22″ image framed to 22″ x 28″) done with many layers of glazes on a grid pattern background. On top of the grid, I painted and collaged grapes and wine bottles out of origami papers. The original was matted in an indigo mat and framed in gold metal. It was called Rose Window because Rose is a type of wine and because of the type of circular windows seen in many of the large European cathedrals.
